To all the music lovers , the 5-day Tansen Music festival which is celebrated every year in Gwalior is back with its 96th edition. It is celebrated in the memory of the eminent singer of our history “Tansen.” In 2020 it is the 96th edition of this music festival and will be held from 26th December 2020 to 30th December 2020 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
This Tansen Music Festival will be organised by the Department of Culture and Ustad Alauddin Khan Kala Evam Sangeet Academy, Madhya Pradesh.
However this year due to the spread of Coronavirus, the entry will be allowed through passes only. And to each event only 350 people will be allowed.
But don’t worry if by any chance you miss to attend the festival then you can watch the live streaming of the programme on Madhya Pradesh Culture Department channels.
About Tansen Music Festival –
The Tansen Music Festival welcomes eminent classical music composers from all over India. Musicians and instrumentalists perform in front of the live audience.
The event would start with the traditional recitation of Harikatha, Milad Sharif and Shehnai playing. Artists like Sajan Mishra, Pandit Rajan Mishra, Abdul Majeed Khan, Madhu Bhatt tailing and Sanjay Kumar Malik.
Also artistes from Mexico, Britain and Iran are also expected to attend the festival.
There will be eight musical meetings this time. Out of these eight ecents, seven will be held at the mausoleum of legendary musician Tansen, and the tomb premises of Mohammed Gaus and one at his birthplace in Behat, on the banks of Jhilmil river.
