Srinagar, also famous worldwide as the “Venice of East” surrounded by lush green vegetation and beautiful snow capped mountains. Srinagar is famous for it’s breathtaking lush greenery all around, lakes and boats and Gulmarg is a small town and a beautiful hill station located in the Pirpanjal range in the western Himalayas near Srinagar in Kashmir. Gulmarg’s legendary beauty, prime location and proximity to Srinagar naturally make it one of the premier hill resorts in the country.So let’s explore “Paradise on Earth – Gulmarg!”

All around are snow-capped mountains.



While Gulmarg is an all tourist attraction with refreshing summer meadows and mesmerizing scenes to keep your camera busy, the main reason to come here, at least in winter, is the off-piste, deep-powder, long-run skiing and snowboarding.


Gulmarg was a favorite haunt of Emperor Jahangir who once collected 21 different varieties of flowers from here.

How to reach ? 

You don’t get to Gulmarg from somewhere, you go to Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, and then the Gandola cable car will take you up to Gulmarg. 


So get your backpacks and camera ready and take a hike to “Paradise on Earth – Gulmarg!
