Bihar’s got it’s first Glass Skywalk in Rajgir!

After the first Glass Skywalk in Sikkim, now Bihar got its first Glass Skywalk in Rajgir. This glass skywalk has been built on the lines of China’s Hangzhou glass bridge.

Rajgir is a town in Nalanda district in Bihar and it is among the fascinating and historical tourist attractions. And now this glass skywalk will be another gem in the crown.

Talking about Rajgir’s beauty, it is surrounded by five hills and it is a town in Nalanda district where the World UNESCO Heritage site Nalanda University is situated . It is an ancient city and is known for its holy sites. This place has been associated with Lord Buddha and Buddhism.

About the Glass Skywalk in Rajgir – 

 

The bridge is 85 ft long and 6 ft wide. It will be able to accommodate 40 visitors at a time.

In addition to enjoying a walk on this bridge the visitors will also have the options of Jungle Safari & Ropeway. While the safari will take tourists inside the dense forests of Rajgir, the Ropeway will also have around 18 glass covered cabins.

Every cabin of the ropeway will have a capacity for 8 tourists and will cover a distance of 750 m in five minutes.

Also the tourists can enjoy air cycling here too.

The government is also building some other interesting spots such as a Butterfly park and Ayurveda.

There will be cottages too for the visitors and they can enjoy a lovely stay.

According to the officials the Glass Skywalk will be open for tourists on New year.

India’s first glass skywalk was built in Pelling in Sikkim amidst the Himalayas  and now the second one is in Rajgir, Nalanda which is already renowned for Vishwa Shanti stupa & Sonbhandar caves.
